The purpose of the Parish Pastoral Council is to exercise shared responsibility for the pastoral life of the parish under the leadership of the pastor.
The PPC is made up of parish volunteers who are chosen through a discernment process and agree to serve for a three-year term beginning in September of each year. The Council prayerfully engages the people and the pastor in common reflection about the parish’s mission and ministry. It plans and evaluates in light of the Gospel and church teaching. The following are the current members.
Mrs. Marrey Picciotti and Mr. Robert Roscoe (Co-chairpersons)
Mr. Richard White (Secretary)
Mr. Douglas Aller
Mrs. Mary Cozzens
Ms. Trudi Goggin
Mrs. Mary Kastenholz
Ms. Christine Malagoli
Mrs. Grace Reilly
Ms. Sherry Spencer
The four basic responsibilities of the Council are:
- To research the needs, the ideas and the hopes of the faith community;
- To encourage and support existing ministries;
- To evaluate the quality of life of the parish faith community;
- To plan for the parish’s future by recommending policies, procedures, and programs that will implement its values and fulfill the Church’s mission.
The Council meets monthly on the First Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm. All are welcome.
