WE’RE GONNA HAVE A BIBLE STUDY
THE GOSPEL OF LUKE
In Advent 2009 began the proclamation of the Gospel of Luke at the Sunday Liturgy. Each Sunday we hear a passage proclaimed and preached. We then endeavor to see how the gospel lives out during the week.
Beginning in Advent 2009, we started a twice monthly Bible Study of the Gospel of Luke. The resource for our study is “THE GOSPEL OF LUKE” - Twelve talks on CD with study guides. The presenter is Sister Barbara Reid, OP, Dean and Professor of the New Testament at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago.
We meet on the first and third Tuesday of the month. Session times fit the preference of group members:
- 9:45 am ( for those who may want to attend 8:30 am Mass)
- 1 pm
-
8 pm (CANCELED)
- Each session needs 25 minutes to actually listen to the recorded lecture and adequate time to work through the study guide - 30-45 minutes depending on the group’s interest. Total time could be one to one and half hours.
- All sessions meet in the Parish Living Room in the Parish Center.
All Are Welcome!
