Begun over 40 years ago as a “Gym Mass”, the Family Mass Community developed into a small community within the larger St. Giles Parish Community. We have gathered as an intentional faith community within St. Giles Parish to nourish each other spiritually, emotionally and socially. Our foundation is our focus on the Mass as we come together on Monday nights and Sunday mornings to prepare ourselves and the gym space for Mass with and for each other in order to proclaim and live out our Gospel values. In the past year we have made our worship space more accessible, ministered to our sick, troubled and dying, and passed along our faith and our values to our children through our catechesis programs.
The Family Mass Community celebrates Sunday Liturgy at 10 am in the Gym. During July and August, we meet in McDonough Hall (Gleeson Building, 1101 N. Columbian) and return to the Gym in September.
