St. Giles School students honored the Blessed Mother in a May Crowning ceremony on May 1. Eighth grader Melissa Wadden crowned the statue with Scott Gruszka as her assistant. Second graders Lauren Atchley, Jada Harris, Nathan LaBoe, Emma Nikolai, Maura Reilly and Manuel Ruiz formed the honor guard at the statue. Carol Rowley ‘05 in her homily praised the Blessed Mother for accepting the role of the Mother of God. The eighth grade choir and musicians added to the joyfulness of the celebration.
