Outreach Ministries - Weekly Food Collections and Distributions

Non-perishable food is collected weekly for the food pantries in our two sharing parishes - St. Martin de Porres and Our Lady Gate of Heaven - as well as Santa Maria Addolorata, Oak Park Food Pantry, Vital Bridges, and Community Response.

Donated items are placed at the St. Giles Shrine. Volunteer drivers deliver the food each week. Each driver is called upon about once every 2 months. If you are interested in helping with the distribution contact Vic Petroliunas at 708-848-0079 or viktoras.l.petroliunas@jci.com.

Please note... We can always use new drivers for the Food Pantry deliveries. Commitment is 90 minutes twice or three times per year to pick up the food donations from the St. Giles Shrine in the back of church, and deliver to one of four pantries. Contact Vic Petroliunas at 708-417-6096 or or vik.petroliunas@sbcglobal.net.

SANTA MARIA

Santa Maria gives bags of food to approximately 200 people each week. If it were not for your generous contributions this would not be possible. Please continue to bring cleaning supplies, liquid soap, bath soap, laundry detergent, window washing spray, paper products including Kleenex, bathroom tissue, paper towels, and especially appreciated are disposable diapers from small size to toddlers. Donations are always welcome since Food Pantries may be able to make purchases of large quantities of items for low prices.

Next weekend, July 31 and August 1st, our volunteer drivers will be: Bob and Clancy Senechalle.
Thank you for your continued generosity.

OAK PARK FOOD PANTRY

Next weekend, August 7th and 8th, please remember our brothers and sisters who are having a difficult time making ends meet. The Pantry is in need of paper towels, shampoo, toothpaste, soap and diapers. Please bring your donations to the St. Giles Shrine.

Our volunteer drivers:
SARAH & GEORGE VALAIKA
will make the delivery to the Pantry.
Thank you very much for all your support.
