Non-perishable food is collected weekly for the food pantries in our two sharing parishes - St. Martin de Porres and Our Lady Gate of Heaven - as well as Santa Maria Addolorata, Oak Park Food Pantry, Vital Bridges, and Community Response.
Donated items are placed at the St. Giles Shrine. Volunteer drivers deliver the food each week. Each driver is called upon about once every 2 months. If you are interested in helping with the distribution contact Vic Petroliunas at 708-848-0079 or viktoras.l.petroliunas@jci.com.
Please note... We can always use new drivers for the Food Pantry deliveries. Commitment is 90 minutes twice or three times per year to pick up the food donations from the St. Giles Shrine in the back of church, and deliver to one of four pantries. Contact Vic Petroliunas at 708-417-6096 or or vik.petroliunas@sbcglobal.net. |

ST. MARTIN DEPORRES
We must all share the vision of creating a hunger-free America. It is written in the Bible we must help those in need. One way is to support the food pantries we serve. Please bring food and paper products to the St. Giles Shrine next weekend, February 4th and 5th, for our brothers and sisters struggling to make ends meet.
Our volunteer driver, ROBERTA BORST will make the delivery to St. Martin DePorres.
Thank you very much.
SANTA MARIA
We must all do our part to help our brothers and sisters who are living in poverty. One way of doing this is to bring food and paper products to the St. Giles Shrine next weekend, February 11th and 12th. The number of people who depend on the Santa Maria Food Pantry is growing, and they are experiencing shortages. If everyone could bring at least one item, it would be a great help.
Our volunteer drivers are MIKE & SUE FENSKE.
Thanks for all your support.
