Outreach Ministries - Lenten Soup Suppers

Each Wednesday evening during Lent, a variety of soups are made by a parish organization and brought to the parish to be shared by other parishioners. The donations offered for the soup and bread supper are given to a variety of charities selected by the committee.

Wednesday Evenings in Lent
from 6 to 7 pm in the McDonough Hall
Dates during Lent 2012 to be posted in the future!!!

In 2011, we supported Faith & Fellowship (ministry to persons with mental illness) and L’Arch (ministry to persons with developmental disabilities).

BRING YOUR OWN BOWL, SPOON & GLASS DURING LENT 2012
We will provide delicious soups, bread and beverage.
We usually ask for a monetary donation which is donated to a charity.

WHY DO WE DO THIS?

We bring our own bowl, spoon, glass and cloth napkin as an effort to be good stewards of our earth's resources by trying not to use too many comsumable / disposable products.

Our soup suppers are meant to be "meager meals" or "simple suppers" which give us an opportunity to eat less, do Lenten fasting and be in solidarity with those who have less.
