Dear Friends,

An accomplished group of musicians will offer you, our supportive friends, the 2024 Shem Center concert. Violin, flute, keyboard, voice and poetry will call us together to claim beauty as a response to the challenges we face in today’s world. While news analysis offers an exchange of words and ideas, they often fall short in acknowledging our feelings when faced with images of destroyed lives and the buildings that once housed them. Dostoyevsky’s words arouse our desire to respond. He declares, “It is beauty that will save the world.” Join us in our endeavor to claim the power we have to do so.

With gratitude for your supportive friendship and our common summons to help save the world, I am sincerely yours,

Joseph Kilikevice, OP
Director, Shem Center for Interfaith Spirituality
