Ed Siderewicz & Marci Madary
McDonough Hall

Ed Siderewicz is a life-long educator and has committed his life to carrying out the educational philosophy and pedagogy of St. John Baptist De La Salle. Over the last 30 years, Ed has been a co-founder of six schools: one in the highlands of a Mayan village in Guatemala and five in impoverished neighborhoods of Chicago. Ed has two master’s degrees in education and was awarded an honorary doctorate from St. Mary’s College, Moraga, CA. Ed completed the Living School, a two-year study and exploration of the Christian mystical tradition.

Ministering in the realm of spirituality throughout her professional life, Marci Madary is passionate about the intersection between theology and the lives of the laity. Through her business, Inside Out Spirituality, Marci facilitates groups, provides spiritual direction, writes poetry, and speaks on a variety of topics revolving around spirituality. She earned a Doctor of Ministry in spirituality at Catholic Theological Union; her thesis explores the dynamic of mutuality between women and men who minister together.

A Christian Brother for 38 years, Ed recently married Marci, a widow and mother of two young adults. They are active members of the St. Giles Family Mass community.
