Easter Message from Cardinal Cupich

Dear Sisters and Brothers in the Risen Lord,

The Easter greeting of the angel, recounted in the gospel of St. Matthew, is directed to each one of us today in our uncertain world and amid the painful burdens we carry: “do not be afraid, come and see, go and tell.”

As we give thanks for the hope, mercy and peace of the Resurrection, know that I am also grateful for your support of the Archdiocese of Chicago. It is through your generosity that we are able to reach out to the homeless, the hungry and the forgotten as we foster peace in our city and community in our parishes through Renew My Church.

Below, I have included my brief video greeting for you and your family. Let us pray for one another that we may all heed the Easter message of God’s love and so experience and share new life and hope through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Cardinal Blase J. Cupich Archbishop of Chicago
