Good Friday at St. Giles

April 15, 2022

On Good Friday, we remembered Jesus’ suffering and death, and lift up our prayers for the world! – Good Friday dawns, and the cross becomes the central figure. At 3 pm, we heard the story of the Passion, and we responded in trust by lifting up the needs of the world in the ancient form of the intercessions dating back to the early church. Then, we adored the cross — no longer a symbol of pain but a symbol of amazing, astounding love. We also gathered at 7:30 pm to pray the Living Stations of the Cross with the teens, a powerful witness and meditation on the Passion.
