Spirit and Light is partnering with Loyola’s Institute of Pastoral Studies to offer a Scripture School in Oak Park!
The Institute of Pastoral Studies Scripture School provides in-depth knowledge of the Bible within a Roman Catholic framework. Students study every book of the Bible in four years. Parish leaders as well as anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of scripture will benefit from this program.

The IPS Scripture School is intended for anyone who just wants to learn the Scriptures in a comprehensive way and then apply it to their family and work lives. Our goal is to help bring students into a closer relationship with God’s revealed Word, empowering them to respond to that word in their personal and family lives. The ultimate goal is transformed lives in response to the love of God.
Basic Biblical Studies: The first six units (two years) focus on methods of biblical study and prayer with the Bible. It includes both the study of the Old and New Testaments.
