Parish Counseling Program

Saint Giles Parish offers counseling services oriented toward healing the whole person – mind, body and spirit – for individuals of all ages, couples, and families. The Counseling Office is in the Parish Center in an atmosphere of anonymity and confidentiality.

Counseling services are available for a broad range of concerns, such as feelings of sadness, anger or worry, relationship and career difficulties, and questioning one’s direction and meaning in life. People commonly seek help for issues related to loss and grieving, emotional distress, family discord, and ways of being that are not working for them.

Our Pastoral Counselor at St. Giles is Deirdre Buckingham, MA, LPC. She provides support and formation to our ministers of care and facilitates our program for the divorced and separated members of our faith community and those in the surrounding area. In addition, with her skills and expertise, she provides support and counseling, with a spiritual eye and heart, for whatever issues may need some special attention in your life. You can contact Deirdre at 708-383-3430 x 404 or
