WELCOME HOME!

Mass / Prayer Sign-Up and Guidelines for Worshipers!

IMPORTANT NOTE – In light of the recent advisories from the Mayor of Chicago and State of Illinois, the Archdiocese of Chicago COVID Task Force has clarified the current guidelines and protocol for attendance at in-person Masses and Sacramental celebrations in churches. Earlier this year, the dioceses of Illinois worked with the State of Illinois on a coordinated COVID-19 response plan. Therefore, Masses and Sacramental celebrations can continue with attendance limits a parish received at certification during the reopening efforts.

Weekday and weekend Masses, Funerals, and the Sacramental celebrations of Weddings and Baptisms at St. Giles Church will continue with the allowed in-person attendance of 50 persons as established when the church was certified to reopen by the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Our Re-Opening team has been working diligently to ensure that our church buildings are ready and safe to re-enter and each event is done with the highest reverence and respect for everyone’s health.

Below you will see specific links for upcoming prayer and worship times. We opened for Weekend Masses and those required signups will be posted on Mondays – SEE LINKS BELOW!

For the foreseeable future, to maintain the safety of all, everyone must follow these guidelines for all times inside the church building:

  • Sign up for only one time slot or Mass per weekend.
  • Monitor yourself for symptoms of illness. If you are feeling sick, please wait to come to church until you have recovered.
  • Wear a mask at all times while in the building.
  • Follow all social distancing and sanitizing guidelines while in the building and listen to the volunteers who are part of your Re-Opening Team – it is for your safety and for the safety of all members of the community

PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL COMMUNION – My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.
