“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time, they have the Heart!”

Many of us are aware that several purificators (the white cloths/red crosses) are used during each Mass to wipe the cups after each person receives the Precious Blood. But what happens to those soiled purificators? They are cared for by several very generous volunteers from our Parish Family. These “behind the scenes” women launder and iron the linens on a weekly basis so that clean purificators are available for each Mass.

Today we would like to acknowledge and thank these gracious ladies who are involved in this ministry, many of them for several years. A huge THANK YOU TO: Beverly Adams, Mary Arsinow, Mary Baldwin, Candy Butera, Luciana Meira Butera, Beth Chlumecky, Mary Fran Gleason, Susan Lescher, Rita Lipps, Pat Rusin, Barbara Schulz, Sherry Spencer, Donna Zych – thank you for so generously giving of your time and energy. Please know that you and your much needed service to our Parish does not go unnoticed and is most appreciated by all. St. Giles is grateful, thankful and blessed because of you!

This ministry could always use a few extra hands. If anyone is interested in joining this special group, or would like additional information, please contact Donna Zych (773-745-9057). Thank you for your consideration in this request.
