Sandy Hook Anniversary Prayer Service
December 14 is the fifth anniversary of the Sandy Hook killings of 20 elementary school children and their six teachers. There have been many more mass killings since then. They are becoming so common that we can be in danger of accepting them as a new normal. Let us not do that!
Come join us on Thursday, December 14 at 9 am in St. Giles Church for a short prayer service in which the names will be read and the tolling of the church bells 26 times for each person killed at 9:35 am five years ago. And we will be remembering all who have been killed since.
“Let us not stand idly by the blood of our neighbor” (Lev. 19:16)
May we be moved to pray into action.
