What is an Evangelization Team?
Evangelization may have difficult connotations for many of us; but in it’s true meaning, evangelization is the core of Christ’s mission for the Church. One translation of Evangelization is Happy Proclamation! Every one of us is called to share the joy of our faith, the good news of Jesus Christ, with the world, whether in our words or in our actions.
St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy and St Giles Parish and Ascension and St. Edmund Parish are in the early stages of forming an Evangelization Team for our Spirit and Light Center – members of both parishes who feel called to help our parish communities spread the joy of our faith both within and outside the walls of our churches. Members of the Evangelization team will begin by working together to discern priorities for outreach and evangelization.
