Eucharistic Adoration at St. Giles is held every Thursday from 7 to 8 pm in Church.
Pope Benedict XVI wrote, “Adoration outside of Mass prolongs and intensifies all that takes place during the liturgical celebration itself… and strengthens the social mission contained in the Eucharist, which seeks to break down… walls that separate us from one another.” The Pope links the practice of adoration with the mission of the Church in its work for social justice.
Each week, on Thursday at 7 pm, the Monstrance is on the main altar of St. Giles holding the presence of our Lord Jesus. As you come to worship Jesus during Eucharistic Adoration, you place yourself, your family, your parish and the world you live in with the Real Presence of God.
This is your time to receive the actual grace and mercy of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. You are personally invited to join your fellow parish members during this time of silence and prayer.
