Fraternite Sisters Lunches

FraternitySistersLunches1

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!

The Fraternite Sisters use the money they earn from bake sales (some weekends at Saint Giles!) to minister to the poor and homeless on the West side of Chicago. On the days that their kitchen is not open, the Sisters distribute sack lunches to the needy.

Saint Giles Parish provides volunteers on the 2nd, 4th and occasional 5th Monday evenings of each month to make 150 lunches. Each lunch consists of 2 meat and cheese sandwiches and a dessert.

The time commitment is usually less than 1 ½ hours – from 6:00 to 7:20 pm at their church in the Austin neighborhood located at 502 N. Central Ave. Chicago 60644.
