THE BRITISH INVASION

On Friday, April 5, 2019, the St. Giles CCW held its annual spring event created to raise monies to fund scholarships for graduating 8th grade girls going on to a Catholic high school. This year’s event, themed “THE BRITISH INVASION,” was a huge success!

Over 240 guests attended the cocktail hour and dinner, and were entertained by 31 parishioners impersonating 17 British rock stars and groups, lip-syncing their hit songs! From the BEATLES of the 60’s to the SPICE GIRLS of the 90’s, the portrayals were spot-on… and the enthusiasm and appreciation of the crowd was amazing!

The event raised $10,977.00! Co-chairs Elsa DePalma and Jeanne Gallo are thankful for the hard work of a committed group of women who helped to create the event, and they are deeply grateful to the local businesses and individuals who generously supported the CCW with their sponsorships!
